mRNA delivery systems and vaccines
mRNA-based therapeutics have shown promising potentials in prevention/treatment of infectious diseases and Mendelian disorders, including autoimmunity and cancer, promoting scientists to fabricate sophisticated delivery systems with high efficiency and low toxicity. We are designing and synthesizing novel and patentable ionizable lipids, cationic lipids, cholesterol derivatives, and functional polymers to optimize the non-covalent interactions between vehicles and mRNA, aiming to develop highly effective mRNA vaccines on the basis of LNP, LPP, and LPX delivery systems.
